Our Story
About Shadöccult
Shadöccult was created by Canadian composer and multi-instrumentalist Martin Breton in 2019. This unique cinematic metal experience features dark classical influences and operatic vocals. Their debut self-titled album was released in March, 2020.
Martin studied voice, piano and percussion at Lakehead University, earning his Honours Bachelors of Arts degree as well as a Bachelor of Education. He has shared the stage with the Thunder Bay Symphony Chorus, Kings College Choir, Jeans n’ Classics and Video Games Live. His original compositions can be found in advertisements, short films, and other media locally and internationally.
Martin is joined by band members Ben Smith (Raider, Cathartic Demise, Ed Force One), Ian K. Schell (Ed Force One), Stephen Helmer (Crunchy Pickle), and Greg Carvalho (Æpoch, Mors Verum).
